Typically Antibacterial Masterbatch is used for PET-Fibres. Because of the large surface of PET-micro fibres which increases the concentration of silver on the surface relatively to the total volume, the antibacterial results with this product in them are excellent.PET (polyethylene terephthalate) as fibre has some useful characteristics:  it is very durable against deformation, crease-resistant, tearproof and it absorbs very few water, which makes it very helpful for e.g. sportswear, which should dry out fast to avoid cooling out of the body.

Nylon (PA 6,6), Perlon (PA 6): The character of many PA-fibres makes them predestinated for the fabrication of clothing. They are easily dyed, lighter than silk, elastic, mothproof, stable against rottening and alkali substances and they are as well crease-resistant and tearproof.  Nylon stockings are the prime example for the usage of polyamide. Natural polyamides are peptides and proteins like hair, wool and silk.
